The old Irish word bruchlus is said to refer to the chattering of birds heading home to their nest for the evening.
I remember watching the birds flock home across the bog-lands above the house. They always appeared to be spinning some old yarn between them. I’d wait up for them with my window wide open, gazing out at the Clare night. ‘until the morning’, I would say because between us, and them, there was agreement — colour and music made life so much more..
A5 original ink and charcoal on handmade deckled edge paper.
Suggestion for Framing: Frame with a matte white border and simple white or light wood frame. Alternatively paintings can be clipped and hung on a string from a nail on the wall. Acrylic ink is light fast and will never fade.
